These are not your grandma's cookies!
After years of working in traveling theater, my husband and I decided to settle down in Colorado Springs. Thousands of miles later, I am happy to be a part of a community where I can flex my taste buds and start a career that allows me to share my love of baking with others. You will find tastes of New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Dallas peppered throughout each batch of salt+butter co. cookies.
I believe desserts have gotten a lot of attention in the culinary world over the last few years but cookies have gone largely overlooked. I saw an opportunity to reinvent a staple of the American kitchen in a way that allows me to stay true to my beliefs in seasonal baking and sourcing locally. I work with variety of farms along the Front Range to source my eggs, bacon, milk, herbs, vegetables, and some of my fruits. salt+butter co cookies also feature fruits that I dehydrate, caramel that I make, and different flavored extracts that I tinker with. There's a lot of Mundi in these baked goods.
I'm a rebel in the kitchen. A regular Bonnie baking away while her Clyde builds furniture. You will not find these uniquely flavored cookies in your grandma's cupboard.
