These are not your grandma's cookies!

After years of working in traveling theater, my husband and I decided to settle down in Colorado Springs. Thousands of miles later, I am happy to be a part of a community where I can flex my taste buds and start a career that allows me to share my love of baking with othersYou will find tastes of New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Dallas peppered throughout each batch of salt+butter co. cookies.

I believe desserts have gotten a lot of attention in the culinary world over the last few years but cookies have gone largely overlooked. I saw an opportunity to reinvent a staple of the American kitchen in a way that allows me to stay true to my beliefs in seasonal baking and sourcing locally. I work with variety of farms along the Front Range to source my eggs, bacon, milk, herbs, vegetables, and some of my fruits. salt+butter co cookies also feature fruits that I dehydrate, caramel that I make, and different flavored extracts that I tinker with. There's a lot of Mundi in these baked goods.

I'm a rebel in the kitchen. A regular Bonnie baking away while her Clyde builds furniture.  You will not find these uniquely flavored cookies in your grandma's cupboard. Check out the Seasonal Flavors link to see what's available, and the what's new link to catch up on other news. You can buy SBC cookies at Stir Coffee Shop starting November 2013. SBC is also a partner with The Local and will be servicing their events.
